On Thursday,Nov. 6th, the nurses invited us to lunch as a celebration dinner for Zane leaving the baby home and coming home with us.
The doctor who is the director of the baby home was there along with her assistant, all the nurses, Thuoc and Tom the driver.
I tried to get Daniel to take a picture of the 2 whole ducks sitting on the table when we got there but he was too busy playing with Dillen and by the time he got around to it they had done chopped them up. We also had beef, shrimp that was bigger than 3 of my fingers put together. You should have seen Daniel popping the heads off those things and eating them like it was his last meal. They also served us the most delicious soup. Not sure what it was called but it reminded me of a chicken stew made with rice in it. Very tasty and probably the best thing I have eaten since we got here.
It was a wonderful meal and truly an even more wonderful gesture and one we will never forget...............
